Colonel Michael E. Erlandson’s Biography
Colonel Michael Erlandson graduated from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania in 2000 and enlisted in the Army in 2002. Mike is a native of Colorado Springs and received his commission as an Infantry Officer from Officer Candidate School in 2003. His assignments include four combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and one operational tour in Jordan, Kuwait, and Syria. He is a graduate of the Infantry Officer Courses, Airborne, Air Assault, Pathfinder, Ranger School, Command and General Staff College and the U.S. Army War College.
Prior to his current assignment with USNORTHCOM, he was assigned to the Joint Staff, where he served as an Emergency Actions Officer in the J3. Mike’s previous non-command assignments include service as an Infantry Platoon Leader, Rifle Company Executive Officer, and Logistics Officer, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault); Ranger Instructor, 6th Airborne Ranger Training Battalion; Military Assistant, Under Secretary of Defense for Policy; Military Assistant, Office of the Secretary of the Army, Pentagon, Virginia; Operations and Regimental Executive Officer, 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) in Fort Myer, VA; Executive Officer, ISAF Chief of Staff for Operations, Kabul, Afghanistan.
His command assignments include Commander, C Company, 6th Airborne Ranger Training Battalion, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida; Commander, B Company and later Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado; and 1st Battalion, 68th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado.
Colonel Erlandson holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Auburn, a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University, and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, OIF and OEF Campaign Medals, the Parachutist Badge, the Air Assault Badge, the Combat and Expert Infantryman Badge and the Ranger Tab.
CSM Jordan R. Lee’s Biography
Command Sgt. Maj. Jordan R. Lee is a native of Saratoga, California and entered the Army in June of 2004. He completed Basic and Advance Individual training at Fort Sill graduating as a Multiple Launch Rocket System Crew Member. He has held the positions as a Gunner, Section Chief, Drill Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, Master Gunner, Operations Sergeant, First Sergeant, Military Science Instructor, Operations Sergeant Major and Battalion Command Sergeant Major.
His assignments include 2nd BN, 20th FAR, Fort Hood, TX (Gunner and Section Chief); 3rd BN, 34th INF BDE, Fort Jackson, SC (Drill Sergeant); 1st BN, 38th FAR, ROK (Platoon Sergeant); 3rd BN, 321st FAR (Platoon Sergeant), HHB, 18th FA BDE (Master Gunner & First Sergeant); 3rd BN 27th FAR, Fort Liberty, NC (Operations Sergeant & First Sergeant); 210th FA BDE, ROK (Operations Sergeant Major); and 3-16 FAR, Fort Cavazos, TX (Command Sergeant Major).
Lee’s military education includes all levels of the Noncommissioned Officer Education, Battle Staff, Field Artillery Master Gunner Course, Air Assault, Sharp Course, Emergency Medical Technician Basic Course, Drill Sergeant, Commanders Total Fitness.
His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (6); Army Commendation Medal (8); Army Achievement Medal (5); Army Good Conduct Medal (6); National Defense Service Medal; Iraqi Campaign Medal (4); Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; Global War on Terrorism Medal; Korea Defense Service Medal; Humanitarian Service Medal; NCO Professional Development Ribbon (5); Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon (6). SGM Lee is a recipient of the Honorable St Barbara’s Medal.
