Here are just a few of the support areas that SFP can assist you with:
Medical & Dental Support
Your TRICARE coverage is completely portable, meaning it moves with you. You are covered worldwide both in transition to your new duty location and once you arrive. Depending on where you PCS, you may use a different TRICARE health plan option. You must update your address and other changes to TRICARE. For additional information visit the TRICARE website at www.tricare.mil.
Relocation/Sponsorship
The Relocation program offers Cadre and Family Members with information and details regarding their assignment to USACC and during their PCS out of Cadet Command. Sponsors are available to all incoming Service Members in the ranks of Private through Colonel, their Families, and Army Civilians prior to their arrival at their unit. Although USACC SFP does not manage or facilitate the Relocation/Sponsorship Program, we are able to offer informational and/or resource assistance as necessary.
Child & Youth Services (CYS)
SFP offers information and referral to agencies that provide fee assistance to Service Members and their Families who are outside of the areas of a traditional CYS program. Assistance is offered through Child Care Aware of America who can help in locating, selecting, and offsetting the cost of civilian child care when on-base child care is not available or a viable option. SFP also has information on child and youth issues such as school support services, local summer camps, after school programs, and community groups such as 4-H and Boys & Girls Clubs.
Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP)
EFMP is a Department of the Army Program which assists during the assignment process for Families who have a member with a disability. This program assures that the Service Member and Family are assigned in areas where their needs can be met. SFP staff can assist with locating your appropriate EFMP Enrollment Office and providing information on local area resources to meet the needs of exceptional Family members. If you experience issues with EFMP resources, assistance, or information, please contact USACC SFP and we will do our best to help alleviate the situation.
Spouse Employment Resources
SFP can connect you to various spousal employment opportunities and resources. Two such programs are Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP) who has approximately 300 partner employers, and Spouse Education and Career Opportunities (SECO) which explores flexible careers.
The Spouse State Licensure and Certification Costs Reimbursement allows for State Licensure and Certification costs reimbursement up to $1000 when incurred by Army Spouses resulting from a PCS move. The reimbursement is retroactive to 12 DEC 17 and is considered a PCS expense. For more information contact your Brigade S1 or SFP.
